Unlike the other reviewers I have never been in chronic back pain, I visit Patrick when I have simply worked too hard or am just fatigued. Patrick does an awesome job of working out the stress knots I tend to develop at the top of my back but in a manner that means they don't come back unless I've been really silly. I have struggled in the past with massages that have done little other then relax me rather then address the issues I have, Patrick was and continues to be a revelation, and leaves my back feeling great for a very long time. I am a paediatric nurse in a major London hospital. Several years ago I injured my back skiing; although it healed well I am weak when performing certain movements. The nature of my job involves a lot of bending and lifting, this coupled with my weak back eventually led to me developing sciatica. On some days it was so painful I could barely walk. I'd heard about Patrick through my boyfriend and on a particularly painful day resolved to go and see him. I began to feel the benefits after the very first session and had a total of 5 - my sciatica has not returned in nearly 2... more

I originally visited Patrick with calf and shoulder problems which were both treated at the same time for no extra cost. Patrick had the ability to immediately make me feel comfortable and we quickly established a trusting working relationship. Patrick understands how all parts of the body connect with each other therefore his treatment focuses on your long term physical well being. He does not rush any of the sessions and often runs over the allocated time as the treatment requires. I have now been seeing Patrick for 1 year and for the first time in many years I can freely move my... more

Patrick was recommended to me by my friend and fellow squash player Eric Mcalpine about 5 years ago. He has been helping me every couple of weeks for the last 4 years during which time I have had no injury problems. My muscles are naturally very tight and I used to have persistent bad back problems because of muscle strength imbalance and poor posture due to my height. Each session Patrick will work on the parts of the body which require loosening and stretching out. He completely understands how all parts of the body link together, can diagnose any problem you may have and find... more

"A friend recommended Patrick to me and I’m so pleased he did. I had been having problems with my back for several months and getting physiotherapy but this appeared to have little, if any benefit. Even after the first session with Patrick I could feel the improvement and after 4-5 sessions, I was like a new woman and could get back to the gym. Patrick kindly gave me advice on stretches to do and I haven’t had any issues with my back since then. That was several years ago. I have always suffered with shoulder and neck pain and feel a lot of tightness in that... more

After going from a physical day to day job, I was asked to do a bit in the office and have not left since.   I had been going to a chiropractor to iron out the usual niggles and aches and pains that comes with getting old. Due to the cost going up what seamed every month I turned to another form of therapy, Osteopath.  This, although it was a longer season, did not really offer me relief on what I required.  I then found Patrick on line and he suggested I came around for a trial period and I have been back every month at least ... more

I have been going to Patrick for massage therapy and my condition has massively improved. I had been suffering with injuries sustained in a car accident , other physiotherapy and pain management hadn't helped. Patrick is thourough and alongside treating the areas of pain, he rectifies other areas elsewhere that are contibuting to the problem. He has also pointed out ways in which I can help treatment and improve posture in everyday life.

After 8 years of trying every type of physical therapy (& hypnotherapy) to help my loosely diagnosed pyriformis syndrome, I finally found Patrick. Since I have been with him it has been a journey of discovery of understanding how my body functions (& dysfunctions!). Gradually the dysfunctioning parts are starting to behave and although I’m not there yet, the feedback from my body says that I’m getting there. A word of warning, if you are looking for a pleasant relaxing massage, you may want to look elsewhere! But if you are looking for an informed,... more

When I came to see Patrick, I was in a world of pain, which was constant. Under his expert manipulation, I have reached a level of improvement which I would not have believed possible. The pain has ceased and I now have a comfortable relationship with my formerly aching body. Patrick was highly recomended to me and  shall always be grateful that I have been under his care. Right from the outset I was totally impressed by his knowledge and professionalism. Yours sincerely

In recognition of the benefit that I have been afforded by Pat’s knowlege and expertise in body alignment, I felt that I might put pen to paper and assist other people in finding a practitioner of both Martial Arts and Sports Massage with confidence. I have practiced Chinese Martial Arts since 1984 and have studied under various Instructors in that time. Indeed I remember training alongside Pat when we were both much younger. I have also recently had the benefit of Pat’s skills as a massage therapist for Sports Injuries. Therefore I feel qualified to comment on his... more

I’ve had the privilege of Patrick working his magic when my swimming distance starts to take its toll, or even just to make sure everything is in harmony and I’m balanced correctly- It’s best to see him when you haven’t any symptoms, consider it an MOT for yourself. Anyway, I can’t recommend him highly enough! Because of his passion and commitment in wanting to understand all areas of the mind and body, he uses his knowledge in his profession to help others. He tailors each and every massage to each individual and each symptom. For me, this has worked every... more

I ran the London Marathon back in April 2009 and Patrick treated me during the last few weeks of training with a deep tissue massage which helped with my recovery after long runs each week. I also had a hip imbalance which he diagnosed correctly, found my weaknesses and understood the importance of getting me back training as quickly as possible. I made a full recovery after just a month of physiotherapy treatment and would highly recommend Patrick for your physiotherapy.   nv-hair.com

After being recommended to Patrick by one of our friends, having suffered many years from aches, pains and strains to our upper bodies and necks through sporting activities and bad working practices which have given us poor postures and reduced mobility in recent years, we decided to make an appointment to find out if Patrick could be of help to us in making life a little more comfortable. Our first session was a surprise to us since after discussing our problem areas with Patrick he was not only able to locate the sources of our problems very quickly, but was able to commence immediately... more

I had several visits with Patrick for a shoulder injury. I was in alot of pain and discomfort until i received my deep tissue massage which was not only great value for money but i was able to make a full recovery. Patrick is a true professional whose knowledge is extensive and manner genuinely sincere.I found this service by surfing the web and am ever so grateful. I have recommended his services to a family member, and would not hesitate to do so for anyone else. A rewarding experience well worth having. Many thanks Patrick 05/02/12

I was training for a charity cycle ride from Vietnam to Cambodia. I went to see Patrick as part of my training program, he helped to speed up my recovery time from the long cycling sessions, and reduced the risks of injury. Patrick has helped me to get a better understanding of how to get the best out of my training. I’m now considering doing the London marathon. His approach to massage therapy is excellent and would highly recommended his services to anyone, whether your into sports or just plain stressed out - massage1st. 03/08/08

I am a former world ranked professional squash player, that was inside the worlds top 100. Having had frequent massages in the past, and seen a lot of different massage specialists when i was on the squash circuit. Patrick has got my body to respond and function better than ever before. Patrick is giving me a full body deep tissue massage, with more emphasis on the hip and leg regions. This is due to me having osteoarthritis in both my hip joints. He has been improving the way my body feels, with an excellent knowledge of alignment and total body structure. Patrick has spent one hour every... more

I have been visiting Patrick for about 3 years and would highly recommend him. Initially I went because of some lower back pain, which was not getting better with osteopathy, but which Patrick sorted out for me in a couple of sessions - I have not had any lower back pain since. I sit in front of a computer for about 8 hours a day and I sometimes start to get niggles and aches and pains in my arms/neck/shoulders. A session with Patrick gets rid of these instantly. I'm sure if Patrick hadn't been recommended to me I'd be a walking wreck! I find the sessions relaxing,... more

I am a Mayfair based jeweller, which in my trade means alot of sitting down, hunching over and very little movement. After a while, like so many of us in our trade, lower back pains started to arise. I did the usual, physio and orthopedic stuff......nothing really helped, well not for any amount of time anyway. I went to see Patrick, told him my position and circumstances about my lower back pains......and then he started treating a completly different part of my body. Completly confused I asked him what he was doing, and he then went on to explain how everything is connected and... more

I was lucky to find Pat after first going to a sports massage practitioner and an osteopath for the treatment of back pain. I found Pat's level of treatment, advice and techniques for future back pain prevention far above either. Also, I regularly play football, and his massages are also very good at  keeping me limber and preventing injury and recovering from stiff and sore muscles. 10/08/08

"Pat has helped me greatly in overcoming the after effects of an injury, working to break down tension and knotting in my muscles, and giving me relief from pain, and significantly greater freedom of movement . His technique is dynamic and reflexive, based on an understanding of the relationship between bone, muscle and mental processes. Although I have had both physiotherapy and chiropractic, I have found that his deep tissue massage treatment has resolved problems which they could not."   14/07/06

I was suffering from chronic bad back because of the condition known as scoliosis. Simply put, I had horizontal curves in my spine that should not have been there! I came to see Patrick because I was open to new ideas and was willing to give anything a go after conventional medicine did not offer a cure. On the initial assessment, Pat said that there was no reason why the curves could not be corrected out. The only requirement on my part was a bit of patience because the body can only adjust to change so fast. Through regular deep tissue massage over the course of a few months... more

As keen runner, I decided to run a marathon. Too quickly I started an intense training program. High mileage too soon led to one of the top 5 runner’s injury: shin splints. I ran the marathon in pain, and after that I rested for few months. During this time I was recommended to orthopaedic who prescribed me orthotics and regular stretching exercise. I also went to two different physiotherapists and the only *benefits* I remember were the 30 minutes of pain I was going through during the massage and the sore legs the days after. I did the marathon in September and... more

I was recommended to go see Patrick for the pains I get in my back and shoulders from sitting slouched at a desk all day. Ever since starting my sessions I have felt a massive improvement. He doesn't just treat one problem area he looks at your body as a whole and realigns everything to avoid it happening again. He also educates you so that you become more aware of yourself and thus are able to make sure that you help maintain his good work. I would recommend him to anyone as I think he is brilliant at what he does.

Absolutely brilliant service. I had been in agony for years and had genuinely lost all hope for a normal, healthy, state of being. Pat really straightened me out (no pun intended) and i can feel absolutely no trace of the pain that once ailed me daily! I've recommended others to him and all have come away with glowing reviews.   6 Aug 2008

I work in a stressful job and suffer from the usual niggles and aches and pains that comes with that. I went to see Patrick for an "iron out" and have been back every week since. Aches and pains that I used to just put up with as part of life are now much eased, in some cases gone altogether. On top of that, I now feel taller and have more muscle definition, without the need to feel the burn at the gym. Would highly recommend to anyone that suffers from muscle pain or bad posture. AMAZING!!

As a 50 something year old squash player – who has been playing at a decent level – the last 3 years I have been suffering with lower pain and groin injuries, which would not clear up. After consulting various sports injury clinics and physios without much improvement I was recommended to Patrick. For the first time someone seemed to understand what my problem was and what to do about it. After two or three sessions I felt a vast improvement and with a series of exercises explained by Patrick to undertake before and after playing -for the first time in years I was able to play... more

I would like to thank Patrick for his perseverance and giving me a new kick start in life. I am sixty two years of age and work in a care home and the biggest fault I made was not listening to my body crying for help due to the daily abuse it gets at work. After the first consultation with Patrick I knew this was not going to be a one day only visit. Sometimes you have to listen to people who are professionals. After a few visits to Patrick I can say without any doubt that the treatments are giving me a better understanding of how the body reacts to the work that I do. He also... more

I was recommended to Patrick by my daughter Shelley. As a fitness instructor she thought a trip to Patrick would be helpful to my fitness campaign enabling me to become more agile If you have ever been to Patrick just for a general massage then you will know this is Shelley getting her own back from being told off as a child. It only took one visit to Patrick to find out that getting agile was not going to be a quick fix. At this point I would like to give Patrick the recognition that he deserves, he has the ability to take a person that has neglected his body over many years in... more

Working on a computer can seriously damage your health. As a designer, stuck in front of a Computer all day, I had heard this warning before. And along with the warnings on cigarette packets, and my mother’s nagging, I ignored it. Until, I started getting constant pain undermy shoulder blades, a sore neck and ever-increasing headaches. But it was the onset of full-blown migraines that got peeled me from the monitor, andgot me looking for help. My GP referred me to osteopaths, physiotherapists, and a variety ofunpronounceable ‘ologists’. Nothing worked. Indeed,... more

Patrick has been treating me for a Sport related back and neck injury. I had been suffering with this injury for five years before I was recommended to seek his help and advice. The combination of his deep tissue massage that gets to the core of the problem, rather than just warming the surface and his advice on exercise, stretching and recovery techniques have meant that I now sleep undisturbed and have regained the range of movement I thought was lost due to the injury. I would recommend his services to anyone, whether it is for Sports rehabilitation or just stress relief.

Oh no I thought, not again all that I went through and now this! I have been a practicing podiatrist for 20 years. This means 20 years of being hunched over 1000's of pairs of feet. It had really taken its toll on my back especially my shoulders. It had got to the stage where my work was being compromised, I was in constant pain in my upper back and shoulders and had daily headaches. My G.P gave me a series of physiotherapy influenced exercises which made not an ounce of difference. Then I decided to try massage and went to a local practitioner who used hot stones and lots of different massage machines. She said I had the stiffest shoulders she... more
